UNESCO on Information Literacy

One of the most important organizations in the world is without any doubt, the UNESCO.
I am one of the lucky few to have been shortlisted to attend their workshop in September in Ankara. The three day workshop will be entirely on "Information Literacy". As you might imagine, I am extremely looking forward to this conference: new contacts, new people, new information and knowledge and new place.

As I have been saying since 2000, IL is proving to be the KEY to lifelong learning (LLL). But as always happens, the famous dictum..."A prophet is not without honor except in his native place and in his own house."
And here we are...now it is the UNESCO saying the IL is KEY to LLL. It is even dedicating professional training to us in order to be able to teach the students and whoever would like to become a LLL and IL.

I will end here for now.

My Sponsors
A big thankyou goes to my sponsors, namely,
1) Klabb Kotba Maltin ~ a local leader in publishing (Link)
; and
2) Charles Degiorgio ~ a leading Distributor of Healthcare products in Malta
(Link).

Both these sponsors contributed to the possibility of me going to this excellent conference organised by UNESCO and from which, I am sure to come back fulfilled and more knowledgable.
